"Getting higher than the Empire State"
The rain ended in time for this year's Boat Ride(2012),
and all in attendance were very glad it did.
Many mini-reunions of old friends abounded on board.
There were also many first timers who also had a great time. Cruisers also enjoyed a water display provided
by Marine 1 and then continued to enjoy themselves
dancing to the sounds of DJ Teddy for the rest of the trip.
Our usual stops included the Lady in the Harbor,
the Brooklyn Bridge and the Freedom Tower.
The Steuben Association also made up t-shirts for the occassion and many were purchased.
Also purchased were many tickets for the 50/50.
Mike Egan of Ladder 6 won the pot of $505.00
with a winning number of "342".
Our turn-out was light but very spirited.
All on board had a great time.
We were glad to put a little sunshine in your rainy day.
Many Thanks (once again) to Bill Rohr (Boat Ride Chairman) for coordinating the trip.
Other Thanks go out to Erik Riedl,
Fred Bischoff, Joe Carpenter, Rich Catalano,
John Rohr and Bill Schillinger.
Another "Thank You" goes out to Juergen Haar
for his help. Juergen was visiting from Germany
and agreed to help us with our short staff.
Now enjoy the rest of the pictures from
this year's Steuben Boat Ride...
