Mike Sarro, the proud father and daughter, Katie, pose for our camera half way through the Parade. He continues his own tradition of bringing his family to the Parade. I bet she can't wait to ride the big fire trucks!

Bill Katsch (far right) of Ladder 19 -The Bronx, is joined by his fellow members before the Parade. Little did they know that later on Bill would be our 50/50 winner at the Steuben Parade Collation 2009.
He took home 700 smackers.
I hope he took care of his
Bronx Buddies...

AND NOW THE NEWS...
Our last meeting, the January Meeting was lightly attended, but all had a good time. There were a few new members and they look forward to many more meetings and Events. Check the "Home Page" for corrections to the Burn Center Calendar regarding dates of our Annual Events. Please make a note of it on your Calendars.
Recently in the news a judge made a decision regarding the hiring practice of the FDNY. This decision is being appealed by the Mayor.
Paul Mannix a Deputy Chief is outspoken on this issue. He was recently interviewed by Steve Malzberg on WOR 710 AM Radio.
To hear the interview click on,
"MERIT MATTERS"
Hope to see you all at our February Meeting, 2/17/10.
Come one come all and enjoy some German Hospitality.
 until next time, stay safe...

FYI:
Did you know you can take the World Trade Center Medical at
Fort Totten? If you are scheduled to take the WTC Medical at the Brooklyn location, you can call and reschedule your appt. and location to Fort Totten. The only catch is there is a long wait for the alternate locations. The other alternate locations are as follows:
Middletown (upstate NY) and Brentwood (Long Island).
