12th Grade are:

Kevin Pfundstein (R & D)

(Megan outside her home in Wantagh)

Megan’s Thank You and Bio:

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Steuben Association for awarding me the 12th grade scholarship. My father has been a member of the Steuben Association for 25 years. I am a recent graduate of Kellenberg Memorial High School and I will be attending Molloy College in the fall as a nursing major. This year as a member of the Kellenberg Volleyball Team I was honored to receive the N.S.C.H.A.A player of the year award. The volleyball team won back to back league championships in 2015 and 2016 and won the State Championship title in 2015. I was selected by Newsday as a member of the Long Island First Team for volleyball in 2016. I will be playing volleyball for Molloy College in the fall. During my time at Kellenberg I was ordained as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered my time at a local nursing home. I also enjoyed teaching religious education classes to elementary students. Last summer along with my Kellenberg classmates I went on a Pilgrimage to World Youth Day in Poland. Being part of a global gathering for peace gave me the inspiration to major in nursing. Just like the proud members of the FDNY I look forward to a career of service to others. Again, thank you for honoring me with this award, it is very much appreciated.

~Megan Pfundstein~

(and we appreciate your gracious Thank You)
