Dear Members of the Steuben Association,
I'd like to express my extreme gratitude
for your very generous scholarship.
I was truly honored to receive such an award.
As a graduate of Sachem High School North,
I look forward pursuing my studies at Stony Brook University,

and the Nat'l Honor Society. I also belong to the Varsity Book Club,
the Volunteer Club, the Junior & Senior Class
and was selected to serve as a Senior-Freshman mentor.
Athletically, I have started for Sachem's North Varsity LaCrosse
and Soccer teams since 9th grade. I play midfield.
Last season I scored 34 goals with 9 assists. (Suffolk Cty. Div. 1)
This season I scored 52 goals with 13 assists.
Each season I have received the Scholarship Athlete Award.
In addition I was asked to serve as the female athlete
selected to represent our high school at the Section XI Student Athlete Conference.During my sophomore and junior years
I earned All Division (Div. 1) from the Suffolk County Girls
Lacrosse Coaches Association. This June,
All County from them as well and MVP from my high school coaches.
Since 2008 I have played midfield with the
Long Island Yellow Jackets Gold.
At this point in time, I hope to pursue a degree in History and following
up with a career in either education or law. I hope to embody the traits
of a NYC Firefighter as I begin on the path to higher education.
I hope to always be selfless, courageous, benevolent, and kind.
I hope to put the needs of others first and to rise to the
call of duty no matter how daunting a task may be.
Thank you for the honor of awarding me the
